This set of potholes is causing danger for all types of traffic inc cars, cyclists, horses etc. It has been reported numerous times over the past 5 years at least, yet still not acted upon. Many sets of roadworks have been carried out in this time, with road closures ensuing, and a further one due from 04/08/25 to 08/08/25, but only for BT. This area cannot be ignored any further, as a serious accident is bound to happen as a root cause of your refusal to act on a major road repair to the area. Get your act together, before it results in a large claim against the council, if and when an incident occurs !!!

Despite repeated warnings, the tenant from Flat 7, Navan Court, Richard Street continues to let his large dog roam freely without a leash or any form of control. This has now occurred multiple times, posing a safety concern for other residents. Furthermore, this is the fourth incident where the dog has defecated in the communal yard, and despite complaints from myself and other neighbors, the tenant refuses to clean up after it. Although the landlord is aware of the situation and has issued warnings, the behavior remains unchanged. We kindly request further action be taken to resolve this matter.

Drain is completely blocked, to the top, weeds now growing out of it... Would have reported it months ago but I expected that by now this would have been cleared as part of the scheduled clearance activities, but it hasn't so we face another winter with a completely blocked drain.

High St approach to pedestrian lights on Market St, Congleton, 23rd July

Drivers are ignoring the pedestrian lights when approaching from High St, possibly because the zig zag lines are very faded, so there is little advance warning of the lights. Also I don't think there is a sign warning of a crossing ahead? This is a safety and equality issue. I have been crossing at these lights on the green man when drivers have continued from High St to Market St without even pausing - they haven't even seen the red lights. They are driving too fast for a blind bend so perhaps a cycle-friendly speed bump would help? Someone with poor sight will rely on the audio signal to cross and could be hit by someone not noticing the lights. Someone who is slow or frail is not going to be able to jump out of the way of traffic. Can a camera be fitted to enforce the red lights too?

The lights weren't working on Saturday afternoon (19.07.25) but were working at 11am today. This evening, at 8.30pm, once again they were not working. I cautiously drove round but met a car coming in the opposite direction and very narrowly avoided a collision. It is SO dangerous. Why can't you install lights that actually work all the time? It's bad enough that there seems no attempt to rebuild the Waterless Brook bridge and that so many vehicles are having to travel on narrow, potholed lanes over another weak bridge. Please install equipment fit for purpose before there is a serious accident.

Uphill on Shrigley Road from Cedar Lodge there are two drains which I unblocked before all the expected rains. Because drains further uphill (in front of and past Needygate houses) are completely blocked and never cleaned by Cheshire East, all the surface water from the hill collected outside my home and flooded the road 21/7/25. I had to wade into the muddy water to unblock the two drains again.
