This is long-standing issue with uneven pavement caused by tree roots. Water pools in the dips between the roots pushing up the tarmac and ices over in winter. So both a trip and slip hazard. Disabled pedestrians, wheelchair and pushchair users, the elderly and other pedestrians are forced to walk in the road at this point. Please can you fix before icy weather sets in?
