This newly constructed cycle path is a "Path to Nowhere" that creates a severe safety hazard for cyclists and pedestrians. The Problem: The path ends abruptly at North Shoebury Road (https://maps.app.goo.gl/HkXjNXC7TS2y9yVq6) just 30 seconds away from the connecting route. This layout is non-compliant with LTN 1/20 standards for "Coherence" and "Directness." The Hazard: Because the path terminates at a dead-end, users are incentivised to: Cross a busy multi-lane carriageway at a point with no pedestrian island or crossing. Cycle or walk against the flow of traffic on a blind curve to reach the next safe path. Increased Risk: A makeshift transition slope that allowed users to enter the road safely has recently been removed. Consequently, cyclists are now forced to remain stationary in the live carriageway while lifting their bikes over the kerb. This has created a high-risk collision zone. Request: I request an urgent Stage 3 Road Safety Audit and a plan to complete the "missing link" to connect these two paths safely.

Vegetarion around our street, 5th June

My daughter is disabled with wheelchair, and often has to negotiate rubbish bags left outside our house which prevents her getting our door. Plus as a family we suffer hay-fever, but no one clears any of the out of control vegetation that is threatening to the over the entire street, often causing scratching to people as they walk bmpast it, and tenants allowed to grow vegetables in their front garden, not to mention constant drug dealing in the street which has been reported with details to the police, but nothing done and everyone has to inhale the stench when windows need to be open. The whole place is an unhealthy rubbish tip. SS3 9EA and SS3 9EB Shoeburyness
