• For the second consecutive day, yesterday the farmer at Splott Farm in Dunkerton has repeatedly towed a muck spreader with a tractor from his farm to two of his fields in nearby Carlingcott and, in doing so, has left a significant amount of mud and muck on the road surface The difference between the farmer's actions yesterday and the day before is yesterday the farmer left significantly more mud and muck on the road surface, for a greater distance to a second field and did not undertake any actions to try to remove the mud and muck. The mud and muck on the road surface presents a significant health and safety hazard to road users, particularly cyclists, which is accentuated during the current inclement weather. Please only mark this report as resolved after the Council has confirmed by visiting the site that ALL of the mud and muck has been completely removed from the road surface because the mud and muck on the road surface will continue to present a health and safety hazard to road users whilst it remains on the road surface.
