Double parked cars. Emergency vehicles couldn’t access if needed

Reported via mobile in the Car parking category anonymously at 17:35, Wednesday 12 August 2026

Sent to Leeds City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9939381.

I would like to raise a concern regarding a vehicle that is being left double parked on the road despite the property having a driveway. The vehicle is positioned in such a way that it significantly restricts the available road width and, at times, makes it impossible for larger emergency vehicles, such as fire engines, to pass.

The obstruction is also forcing pedestrians, including people using wheelchairs, mobility scooters and parents with prams, to either enter the road or cross to the opposite side in order to get past the vehicle. This creates an unnecessary safety risk, particularly for vulnerable road users.

Given both the potential obstruction to emergency vehicles and the impact on safe pedestrian access, I believe this should be addressed before it results in an emergency or an accident.
