Huge amount of flytipped rubbish
Reported in the Flytipping category anonymously at 12:42, Sun 26 February 2017
Sent to Peterborough City Council 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 989625.
The derelict factory building opposite the Texaco garage on Padholme Rd East has a huge amount of rubbish flytipped in its outside yard area. Someone has even removed the earth embankment that has been put there to prevent access to the premises, presumably so they could enter and illegally dump rubbish. The extent of this is so much that it is likely that it could constitute ground for a direct report to the Environment Agency (their criteria are that they want to know about instances where more than 10 tonnes of waste has been tipped, which there clearly is in this instance). The sheer quantity and type of waste suggests that someone is carrying on a business in the Peterborough area doing household clearance and removal of builders rubbish and illegally flytipping it into any premises that they can gain access to - inside the city or outside in the surrounding area.
Could the Council's waste services please consider reporting it o the EA directly if they feel this is not within their remit to clear up as it is on private premises.

Peterborough City Council advised that as the issue was on private land, all they could do is inform the site owner, which I think they have done. since, the entrance that had been used by the flytioppers to gain access to the premises has been blocked up, but the original flytipped waste remains
