Rubbish and nails constantly left strewen in backlanes causing damage to tyres.

Newcastle councils Communal bins which we were told would refuse rubbish and dumping and overflowing bins total wash out instead is having the opposite effect of encouraging dumping and providing opportunities for people to open them climb in and take what they want leaving mess strewn all through the lanes on a regular bases bins are collected alternative weeks on a Friday no cleaning is done of the mess strewn out of the bins causeing damage to car tyres pictures show nail removed by recovery man from my flat tyre last Sunday after takening car out of the garage then today took car out of garage and other picture shows another nail embedded in the tyre cause flat tyre again council are doing nothing to clear up mess or catch the bin raiders!

  • The lane are left with rubbish strewn from the stuff people throw out lane are not being swept to clear spill overs instead it just lies under and around the bins and blows under doors into yards etc I still have to sweep my back gate clear on a regular bases before takeing the car out where are the road sweepers gone we were promised cleaner backlanes with these stupid communial bins total joke as with most of our councils not so bright ideas!!

  • The overflowing bins continue, dumping of rubbish continues and bags of rubbish continues to be dumped also. Further more people are moving the bins to opposite walls and the bin removal me do not place the bins back appropriately thus blocking view of vehicles coming up/down the lane as well as making it very difficult for car enter and exist the garage safely.

  • Yes they ashamedly brought out the road sweeper for the clear up but I haven't seen or heard the road sweeper since! The lane is constantly strewed with rubbish from burst and over flowing bin bags also people keep smashing items up to remove parts for scrap from dumped tv's etc leaving behind screw, glass sharpe metal parts but.
