Extensive potholes and oily sludge
Reported in the Potholes category anonymously at 10:58, Mon 20 February 2017
Sent to Aberdeenshire Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 985042.
This section of road has been in a dreadful condition for many months. On the occasions when Council employees have tried to fix it, they have simply poured what looks like thick, oily runny bitumen into the holes. You can see the oily deposits on the photos. Unfortunately my new car is peppered with oily deposits even after negotiating the potholes very slowly and is causing damage to my paintwork, not to mention the underside of the vehicle. Worryingly, the oily deposits are being washed and sprayed into the adjacent fields and run the risk of damage to the sheep there and seepage into the water course. This is also a school bus route and is popular with walkers and cyclists. I have e-mailed the Council directly in the past with a number of photographs, however, never got a reply.

This problem has not been fixed and has deteriorated even further during the winter. This road is used by motor vehicles, cyclists, walkers and horse riders. It is on a School Bus route. It is now getting to a point where vehicles will not be able to use this road for fear of causing serious damage to their vehicles. The attached photos were taken yesterday (08.01.2018)
