Poisionous plant - Hogweed

Reported via mobile anonymously at 15:38, Sunday 26 July 2026

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and South Oxfordshire District Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9849032.

This plant has appeared against a wall on the footpath leading through to the other end of West Chiltern, Woodcote. It is opposite no. 75 West Chiltern. It has grown very large and is flowering (current as at 26/7/26) If the leaves or stems are broken and sap gets onto the skin it can cause inflammation of the skin especially if skin is exposed to sunlight. Bearing in mind this footpath is used regularly by people and dogs it should be safely removed by experienced people who have the correct protection.
