Completely obstructed view at crossing

My grandparents live on Cold Harbour. The exit onto the main road (Goffs Hill) which is a 50 MPH road (though many go much faster) is extremely dangerous as you simply cannot see to the right.

A mirror has been placed, but actually, it makes the situation so much worse as you rely on it but the way it is placed means the road can seem clear and the next moment as you’ve pulled out - there is a (fast car) coming towards you.

My grandmother recently pulled out having tried everything possible to check it was clear and was met with a speeding car who then had to swerve.

You really take your life in your hands every time and given there are many residents on the lane, many elderly, and that it is opposite a school, I would think that the council may want to at least clear the trees to provide a view of oncoming traffic.
