Unsatisfied with response

The response to my initial report is unsatisfactory while I appreciate it is not a simple case of repairing the footbridge the fact 4 bridges are broken and cutting off important access routes is worse, by your own TTRO you have 6 months to fix a footpath I don’t believe this means you can add the time together for all the bridges! and we are WAY past 6 months.
You say people are working on the structural designs of the bridge but I work from home in full view of the bridge and have seen nobody looking at anything structural about the bridge bar one man pulling up in a van over last year looking for about 10 minutes and getting back in the van, no drawing up designs or looking at the damage the only people who come are people replacing the fence that has already been moved again to allow people access as it is not fit for purpose.
I would like to know how long these design will take and when we can expect the works to be undertaken? If we are paying all this council tax every month for things like this to be fixed and the constant fences being replaced we should at least have a completion dates as these surveying teams are apparently actively working on this.

Thank you for your follow-up email. I completely understand your frustration regarding the length of time these vital access routes have been closed and the disruption this is causing to your daily routine.
Regarding the site presence, much of the initial structural assessment involves targeted site visits to gather specific measurements, while the vast majority of the complex engineering, structural calculations, and design work is carried out remotely by our team in the office.
While the technical design process is moving forward, we are currently waiting on our contracting partners, MGroup, to finalize the formal construction schedule. Furthermore, our senior officer who is directly overseeing the programming and coordination of these four footbridge replacements is currently out of the office and returns on 5th August 2026.
I have logged your enquiry to be passed directly to him upon his return so that he can review the program status and provide you with a clearer, more definitive timeline for when the design phase will conclude and when the permanent replacement works are scheduled to begin.
