• As per previous enquiries for these trees at this location--the last was on 28 May 2026, and updates we have provided, we will not undertake any works to these trees. The tree officer has reviewed these trees and does not need to enter the property. They are mature trees with large crowns that at present do not require any pruning in line with the LBB Tree Management Strategy which is found on the Council web page. No further action will be undertaken by the Council at this time with regards to these trees.

• Large, mature trees are an essential element of residential neighbourhoods delivering important ecological benefits in the urban environment where they are needed the most. Especially large mature trees with large crowns (or branch canopies) offer LBB Residents many benefits including improved air quality by the production of oxygen and the removal of pollution particulates from the air, improved human health and well-being, temperature reduction in hot periods through their shade, provision of important habitats for birds, fungi, insects, and other species that would otherwise be unable to exist in the urban environment. They also add to the aesthetic/amenity value of the street scene and even increase properties values and can reduce air conditioning costs.   No works are required at this time in accordance with the LBB tree management strategy.

• Bromley will only undertake works to a tree for an identified health & safety or highway obstruction issue. Please note that as outlined in our Tree Management Strategy Trees – London Borough of Bromley

  Bromley Council will not prune or remove trees in relation to the following: • Branches overhanging property boundaries or buildings • Lack of direct or indirect sunlight • Where a tree is thought be too tall, wide, large, or old • Branches and/or limbs in physical contact with telephone wires or power wires • Interference with solar panels or satellite, TV, or other media reception • Leaf fall • ANY Fruit or Seed Problems including but not limited to cherry and apple fruits, winged “helicopter” seeds, cotton covered seeds etc. • Problems associated with pollen • Excreta, mess, sap, or staining caused by insects or birds • Obstruction of the view from house windows, gardens, balconies etc • Shedding of small twigs which is considered normal, especially if they are dead or have been clipped by squirrels. Nor will we remove leaf and branch debris at the base of a tree which protect the tree from lawn mowers, strimmers and dogs

  The situation will be reviewed cyclically as part of our programme of tree condition surveys and safety inspections.

• This tree has been inspected and is not considered to require remedial works at this time. Bromley will only undertake works to a tree for an identified health & safety or highway obstruction issue. The situation will be reviewed cyclically and any required action will be addressed within a future works programme.

• As per the information supplied in the LBB Tree Management Strategy, we inspect all trees on a 3 year cycle. These trees will next be inspected in 2029 at which date we will review if any works or not are required as per the criteria set out in our Tree Management Strategy which can be accessed on the LBB web page. No further works are required at present and we do not anticipate any further works will be required before that time. https://www.bromley.gov.uk/ trees
