Oak tree near childrens playground

Reported via desktop in the Park tree causing damage category anonymously at 11:34, Wednesday 8 July 2026 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Brent Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9753351.

The oak tree is infested with oak processionary moths. Several nests have fallen from the tree into the surrounding grass, leaving irritating hairs on the ground. This makes the area unsafe to sit, play or picnic on, as contact with the hairs can cause painful skin rashes, eye irritation and breathing problems. The fallen nests present a particular risk to young children and dogs, who are more likely to come into direct contact with the contaminated grass.
