Idiots parked on verges in Highfield Road

Reported in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 12:40, Tue 7 February 2017

Sent to Newport Council 6 minutes later

The idiots who live in number 14 and number 12 and number 3 seem to take great pleasure in parking and driving on the verge causing the damage you can see in the pictures.

  • If anything it's worse, but the council wouldn't of been able to repair the verge as it's been too wet, and the idiots would of parked on the repaired verge anyway.

  • Still not repaired yet but the mud is drying out at least.

  • Getting much worse now and resembling an off road corse more than the grass verge it used to be.

  • As far as I know Newport City Council haven't even inspected the site although I did see one of their new Dacia Dusters traveling from Highfield Close past the end of the street. They must of had a call from Former Mayor of Newport/ Former Assembly Member Rosemary Butler about some issue in the street where she lives, a case of it's who you know not what your problem is.

  • The council haven't forgotten as I email them once a fortnight so they don't forget. They were supposed to be sending an inspector out to assess the situation and what they need to do.

  • Apparently it's only cosmetic even though it does present a trip hazard and the council have no money to repair it, hopefully they've got insurance because if someone does happen to trip there I will be informing them that I have reported the defect and the reasons why the council won't repair it.
