Speeding Vehicles

Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 09:17, Tue 7 February 2017

Sent to Hillingdon Borough Council 3 minutes later

Despite raising this problem last year, nothing has been done about vehicles and motorbikes travelling at excessive speed in Polehill Rd.With the amount of LGVs now using Polehill Rd to get to the building site at the top of this road,it can be only a matter of time before there is a serious accident

  • Nearly 3 months since first reported and Polehill Rd is still plagued by speeding vehicles etc.How much longer is this going to take to resolve or do we have to wait until somebody is killed by these idiots?

  • The council has said that after a survey, there is not a problem with speeding vehicles in Polehill Rd and that the majority of vehicles do not speed. It is the minority that are the problem.I wonder what critea the council used to arrive at this conclusion as we are still being plagued by vehicles travelling at excessive speeds.I feel that the only way to resolve this problem would be to use speed cameras over a period of several days.

  • We are having a problem with a flood light/security light fixed to the front of the house opposite. It comes on at intervals throughout the day and also through the night.Despite having made many requests to fix this problem and being assured that "It will be fixed within a week",nothing happens.Due to the position of this light and the layout of our property.,we are blinded whether in the front room or kitchen.
