Reported via desktop in the Grass category anonymously at 08:12, Tuesday 7 July 2026

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9745261.

This junction is on a blind bend and you cannot pull out safely from Waterstock road onto the Ickford road nor can you see cars approaching from Ickford direction because long grass is bending out into the road blocking vision in all directions.

  • Thank you for your enquiry. Oxfordshire County Council, as the Highway Authority, is ultimately responsible for the maintenance of grass verges alongside the carriageway network throughout Oxfordshire (excluding motorways and trunk roads). Under our new approach, all roadside verges in both rural and urban areas are cut once a year. If necessary, we will trim areas that impede driver visibility more regularly. For more details, you can refer to our Highway Verge and Vegetation Management policy at https://www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/ sites/ default/ files/ file/ roads-and-transport-major-projects/ grasscuttingpolicy.pdf
