Privet hedges encroaching onto pavement

The privet hedges at 260 Dovercourt Road and neighbouring property are encroaching over the pavement and allowed to flower, emitting large amounts of pollen, which results in respiratory symptoms for hayfever sufferers like myself. I pass these homes on a daily basis, as do many school children & pedestrians. Please can the hedges be kept trim & not allowed to flower.
