Overgrown hedges

Reported via desktop in the Overgrown Private Vegetation category anonymously at 13:30, Tuesday 30 June 2026 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9708769.

I would like to report a privately owned hedgerow adjacent to the perimeter wall of 45 Corran Close and outside of 41/43 Corran Close, and overhanging the roadside parking area causing an obstruction. The hedge is protruding into the parking spaces and forcing vehicles to park further into the road. This is causing a potential safety hazard by reducing the parking spaces, affecting vehicle manoeuvres , especially from vehicles entering and exiting 41/43 . There is also a possibility of conflict with other traffic. Could this location be inspected and the owner (45) be requested to cut back the hedge to kerb level. Please find attached photos of the excessive growth and impact on parking.

  • The owner at 45 has now cut back the hedge and it has improved slightly. However, it has not been cut right back to the kerb and the hedge still protrudes onto the parking area by approx . 2 - 3 ft. .
