Cars are parking on the narrow sidewalk

Several times over the last few weeks since xmas I have walked along Honeys Green Lane towards Eaton Road and as I have reached the last house on the right hand side I have had to walk in the road to get around parked cars that are so close to the garden wall there is no alternative. I am a fit male adult so I can manage it, but it must be extremely dangerous for anyone with a pram or even walking with young children. Cars also park on the opposite side even though there are double yellow lines on both sides of the road, but the sidewalk is much wider there. I appreciate there is not enough parking spaces for all those shops in that part of Eaton Road/Honeys Green Lane, but some drives just seem to think they can abandon their vehicles and completely block a sidewalk for almost an hour at times. Each time I have come across this problem there has not been a driver sat in the car ready to drive off if they caused an obstruction, they have been totally empty. Also the number 61 bus comes along Honeys Green Lane and there are times when the bus cant get through because of the parked cars on both sides

Either householders or people at the shops are parking on the sidewalk, and at times it is impossible to walk between the parked vehicles and the adjacent garden wall. Plus I happened to be walking up that way one day last week and a number 61 bus could not turn into Honeys Green Lane from Eaton Road because cars were parked on double yellow lines

Obviously nothing has been done because the cars are still parking on the pavement on both sides of the road, and some of the cars belong to the shopkeepers

I'm probably wasting my time here. Cars still park partly on the sidewalk over double yellow lines just past the Deli. And because the sidewalk is so narrow at this spot, when a car is parked there it is impossible to get past without walking in the road. Whereas opposite where the hairdressers, beauty salon and pharmacy are located etc, the sidewalk is wider so shoppers and shop workers park fully on the sidewalk, even though there are double yellow lines in the road. If one traffic warden walked past once every day, the council could probably reduce the council tax with what they took in fines.

When some one is hit by a vehicle because they have had to walk in the road as there are vehicles parked either fully on the sidewalk or on enough to block it for pedestrians, then I am going to put every complaint I have made of this situation all over social media. One traffic warden walking past once a day would help alleviate this problem
