Sightlines compromised again

Reported via desktop in the Parks/landscapes category anonymously at 10:33, Tuesday 23 June 2026

Sent to Glasgow City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9668645.

To improve pedestrian safety at this notoriously bad roundabout, a team came out and cut back / cleared heavily overgrown shrubbery around the roundabout (and did a great job).

This is now compromised by the neglected, overgrown grass at various points around the roundabout & on the Dumbarton Rd on and off ramps to the A814 (not to mention the still wrongly oriented 'pedestrian warning' signs only recently added).

The first priority should be safety, everything else ('green corridor', 'biodiversity') is secondary.

Note that plots do not need fully grass cut, rather the areas on and around the roundabout & A814 that are pedestrian crossing points. It's not rocket science.

Thanks.
