Excessive litter and vermin

Reported via mobile in the Litter bin full category anonymously at 13:44, Monday 15 June 2026 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9623850.

I am a resident in Northampton St. the bin at the bottom of the road and on Julian Road was destroyed by a fire 2 months ago. This means the bin on opposite side of the road is over spilling and insufficient capacity. We are into tourist season, the litter over spilling is daily and at the weekend I saw rats. It is. It cost on BANES workers having to clear it up, or chidren approaching the school, residents and members of public navigating the extensive litter. I have enclosed a photo from 8am today. The recently destroyed bin needs replacing urgently - what are the plans to do so and approximate timings?
