Thank you for your enquiry. The tree at this location is heavily colonised by ivy which impedes a full inspection. Works are issued to the contractor, estimated to be completed within 28 days to sever the ivy.
Once the ivy has died down a further inspection will be undertaken which the outcome will dictate whether further works are required.
Please note that as outlined in our Tree Management Strategy (tree-management-strategy-2023-to-2027 (bromley.gov.uk) the Council will not prune trees in relation to the following:
• Branches overhanging properties. Residents have the right to exercise their right under common law to prune back branches to their property boundary, withal arising disposed of by the resident. Pruning should be carried out following discussion with one of the Council’s Tree Officers and completed to the standard set out in BS3998:2010 Tree Work;
• Tree size, where a tree is judged to be overly large.
