Broken Step on Public Footpath

Reported in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 19:32, Wednesday 18 January 2017

Sent to Aberdeenshire Council 3 minutes later

At the bottom of Westhill Golf Course there is a public pavement/footpath accessed from Westhill Drive via a set of steps. This is used many times a day by passersby, dogwalkers, etc, but especially by young people going to Westhill Academy and some younger children going to Crombie Primary and nursery. One of these steps has had a huge chunk missing for a long time. It is only a matter of time before someone hurts themself, as this is the third step up from the bottom, and the gap is well away from the handrail. A person couldn't even catch themself. My daughter stepped in it when some other children were mucking about and suddenly screamed (distracting my daughter from where she was putting her feet), but fortunately she did not get injured.
