Tree is damaged problem

2x 8” round trees hanging down across the path resting on other trees.

There are 2 trees across the path meaning a low stoop to pass. They seem to have got lower recently and are resting on the other trees. I suspect they are dead wood so could come down at any time. Can they be removed before the path is blocked completely?
