Completely blocked drain

Reported via desktop in the Blocked/Damaged category anonymously at 18:35, Wednesday 10 June 2026 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9597944.

This drain has been blocked for as long as I can remember, as have all the rest along Station Road from my house up the hill towards Brixworth. When it rains moderately to heavily the water runs down the hill bypassing all the blocked drains and accumulating in significant amounts on my property since I am at the bottom of the hill and my house is lower than the road. This has already caused one 9ft high 8” square solid oak gatepost to rot and collapse (only fitted in 2016) - should have lasted a lifetime. It also gathers underneath my house which has suspended floors and has recently completely flooded the garden and approached the entrance to the property. I will also be reporting the other 3 drains further up the hill - 1 outside number 6, 1 on the other side of the road opposite number 6 and the one outside number one which is actually totally invisible due to the vegetation growing out of it.

  • 26 weeks ? that’s 10th December. I pointed out in my reports that these blocked drains cause flooding to my property and have already caused damage. The water from the hill and travels past all the blocked drains to my property which is at the bottom of the hill. I can confidently expect heavy rainfall at least once before 10th December and would therefore request that you upgrade the priority of these repairs

  • Why had the status changed from scheduled to rescheduled and what is the time frame for this repair now ?

Posted anonymously at 15:00, Wednesday 24 June 2026

  • This repair was schedule to be completed by the end of July but now appears to have been rescheduled but no time frame has been stated. I asked last week when it was rescheduled for but no answer. Could you please let me know when I can expect this repair to take place as it is having a detrimental effect on my property and, as I have already stated, has cost me a significant amount of money.
