2X Large road traffic cones have been placed by the property owner at the above address for the apparent purpose of blocking motorists from parking adjacent to his property. The cones have been placed in this location by the property owner over the past 2 months. The cones are placed at a dropped kerb adjacent to this property and are causing an obstruction while being placed in the carraigeway and in a traffic lane travelling East out of the village on this road. The positioning of these cones are forcing myself and other traffic in deviating over the crown of the road to avoid the cones and consequently on numerous occasions coming into conflict or potential collision with traffic travelling from the opposite direction into the village. The cones are causing an obstruction that is directly affecting traffic on the roadway and placed inappropriately for the prevention of occasional traffic parking along this road to access the playpark for recreational purposes. This matter needs to be resolved as the cones create a hazard in this location that could be avoided by other means e.g. to place a parking restriction sign or similar on the verge or to place appropriate road markings in this area. I have photos available to show the cones at this location but unable to upload them. Please advise if these would be useful and where they can be sent.
