Fresh deposits of dog poop most mornings

Reported in the Dog fouling category anonymously at 17:09, Mon 16 January 2017

Sent to Vale of White Horse District Council 2 minutes later

Someone seems to be letting their dog regularly would the pavement along Nyatt Road. The problem is especially bad around the cut through to Ferguson Place. Often the fouling is in the middle of the pavement. Going by the colour and size of deposit I suspect it's the same dog each time. By the time I return home of an evening it's usually the case that some poor sod has trodden in it.

  • Thank you for contacting Vale of White Horse District Council, about the dog fouling problem you are having in the Nyatt Road area of Abingdon. I have asked our waste contractors to clear the area of waste. I will also put up some dog fouling signs and, carry out some patrols of the area to try and catch the persons responsible for allowing their dogs to foul without clearing up. If you have any information as to who is doing this, please contact me on 01235 422403. I can then arrange to take a witness statement from you, and carry out the appropriate enforcement action. Please also feel free to contact me on the above number, if I can be of any further assistance.

  • The weather has done a good job of cleaning up the mess (along with the people stepping in it!), but the signs and patrols will hopefully provide some deterrent.
