  • Dear Anonymous,

The best place to report a rough sleeper is http://www.streetlink.org.uk/ who will be able to connect anyone who finds themselves sleeping rough for whatever reason, with local services that may be of assistance to them.

I would argue that should be the priority over any legality or mess issue.

  • Regarding your recent reply:

Yes, I did that first before alerting the Council to people living on their land. I don't need sarcastic remarks. It is a legal issue and there was a mess being created which inevitably the taxpayer has to pay for. To get the best outcome for such people living rough then the right authorities need to be alerted and it's a shame they don't respond very quickly to help/provide support to such people where necessary and instead allow the problem to continue.

  • Hi John, it wasn't a sarcastic comment it was a genuine concern for a rough sleeper. I was going to pop down & check in to report on streetlink, but thank you for reporting. Rachael
