Ash die back - tree on road part fallen

Reported via desktop in the Report a tree problem category anonymously at 18:11, Sunday 7 June 2026 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9576664.

A large ash tree on the side of the road has ash die back - a very large limb fell onto our property which we have cleared but the tree is obviously at risk of further falls - this lies outside of our boundary and sits right on the road edge. We contacted Gavin Rees at OCC who told us to report to you.

  • Thank you for your report. I have visited site and assessed the trees in their location. The trees present are on land maintainable by the adjacent landowner and not by the County Council. I have spoken to the landowner, detailing the problem and advising that they carry out remedial works to remove potential hazards to the highway.

    State changed to: Investigation complete
