Overgrown car park and weeds, brambles, ivy growing on grassland

Reported via mobile in the Brambles category anonymously at 13:39, Sunday 7 June 2026

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9575316.

18months ago January 25 the parks department raised all the brushes in Meadowside drive stating that it was to be return back to grass as it was previously, maybe back in 1972 when the houses were built but not in 1978 when I moved into house backing onto the car park. The car park is now reduced in size due to the amount of 2ff high weeds growing in it. Also the area previously bushes is now just weeds. No Grass. In order for grass to grow you would need either grass seed or turf neither of which has been planted on the area where you removed the bushes. I have maintained and weeded the area outside my house mainly to prevent bramble and ivy creeping into my garden. Please come and inspect the mess in the carpark and surrounding area. You do come and cut the grass but that area is shrinking due to the weeds.
