Hedges overhanging road / kerb

Reported via mobile in the Hedges category anonymously at 10:10, Sunday 7 June 2026 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9574184.

The hedges along Queens Road (OX9 3NG) towards the junction with Kingsey Road are overhanging the kerb into the road but up to 1m in places. This is causing considerable disruption, forcing traffic into the middle of the road. I believe this is a contributing factor towards the failing road surface along that section. It also poses as a significant safety issue, blocking the view of oncoming traffic and reduces traffic flow particularly during school opening and closing time as buses and coaches cannot safely pass oncoming traffic.
