This is disgraceful.

Reported via mobile in the Playground Repairs category anonymously at 18:05, Friday 5 June 2026

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9569242.

I have now lost count as to how many issues have been raised in this park. First the slide, then the seesaw, the roots, the aerial slide to name a few. Today I have found this. This is a disgrace. Because it seems we have to take matters into our own hands to get things done with any sort of urgency I have got my wife to bring up some tape to do a temp job on it. Is it really going to take a kid to get hurt for anyone to really listen? 12-18 months for a refurb is too long. I will be taking this further. In the mean time this needs fixing urgently.

  • Thank you for reporting this issue. We have re-wrapped the joints with self-amalgamating tape and ensured there are no protruding wires.

  • I don’t think this is sufficient as this will only weather and happen again.

There are also sections on the net that have wires showing which although not yet protruding will do with wear and tear.

There is also a section of concrete at the back exposed.
