The fences were installed badly, on top of the soil thay had slipped out of the garden. The landowner never cleared it up. The soil, still there, is a problem in wet weather, and is hazardous, but during bouts of sun and rain, the soil is full of life. Thorny brambles, weeds, nettles and grass. Getting taller and taking up the space.
