Tree overhanging pavement and road
Reported via desktop in the Private Tree overhanging highway category anonymously at 12:36, Wednesday 3 June 2026 using FixMyStreet Pro
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9553972.
A large tree adjacent to the road and pavement is significantly overhanging both the public footpath and the carriageway. Large branches have already fallen from the tree, and there is an ongoing risk of further branches falling onto passing vehicles, pedestrians, and nearby property.
The location is regularly used by local residents and is a common walking route for school children. As a result, the current condition of the tree presents a safety hazard and creates a risk of injury to members of the public, as well as damage to vehicles and property.
Given the evidence of previous branch failures and the potential consequences of further falls, I request that the tree be inspected as a matter of urgency and that appropriate pruning or maintenance works be undertaken to remove the overhanging branches and make the area safe.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
