Poor Junction Design
Reported via desktop in the Road marking white lines or studs category anonymously at 11:41, Wednesday 3 June 2026 using FixMyStreet Pro
Sent to Gloucestershire County Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9553552.
The junction built by developers is very poor. The main road (Gotherington Lane) runs roughly north - south. However this junction routes the main traffic along Vale Road. This leads to lots of near misses. Cars from Mirabelle Road simply drive straight out without waiting at the Give Way, even though there is no visibility.
Ideally this should be a cross roads with the main right of way being north - south along Gotherington Lane. Each side road (Vale Road & Mirabelle Road) should have a Stop line.
This is already a flash point for frustration between drivers, please act before someone gets hurt.
