Widespread Highway and Utility Hazard: Invasive Sycamore Growth on Anglesey Road

There is a severe, widespread issue along the entirety of Angelsey Road, and probably surrounding area, (affecting both sides of the street, front and back). Dozens of self-seeded sycamore trees have been left un-managed, ranging from small to over 3 meters in height.

These trees are growing roughly 1 meter from Victorian terraced properties. The root systems are aggressively expanding into the public footpaths, these will break up the pavement and encroach heavily on the underground gas and water mains corridors. The local gas board already will not move any gas meters due to ground instability, lime mortar, and settled soil in an area with a high water table.

This is a major public infrastructure risk and highways safety hazard. Please send a tree officer/highways inspector to assess the entire length of Anglesey Road rather than individual properties, as the infestation is systemic across the whole street.
