Dear Grounds Maintenance / Highways Team,
I am writing to formally report significant property damage and an ongoing actionable nuisance caused by a tree situated on council-managed land directly adjacent to my property.
The tree is currently causing the following issues:
Physical Damage to Fence & Shed: The growth of the tree/branches is actively pushing against and damaging my garden fence, shed structures and concrete slabs. Encroachment on House: The upper branches have overgrown into my property boundary and are now growing directly towards my house, risking structural damage As the landowner, West Northamptonshire Council has a duty of care to maintain its trees so that they do not cause injury or damage to neighboring private property. I request that an arboricultural officer visits the site as soon as possible to assess the tree and arrange for it to be cut back and pruned to stop further damage.
I have attached clear photographs showing the exact location of the tree, the proximity of the branches to my house, and the existing damage to my fence and shed.
I look forward to your swift response and confirmation of when an inspection will take place.
Yours sincerely,
Nomu Aiwuyo
