Slippery mud

Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 19:16, Friday 6 January 2017

Sent to Somerset County Council 4 minutes later

The downhill side of the road is covered in slippery mud. It appears the heavy trucks leaving the quarry are not being properly cleaned. It is messy and slippery when wet and very dusty when dry. In wet conditions on this steep hill this road is too slippery for cyclists and an accident waiting to happen for all road users. This has been ongoing for many months but has got worse recently. The lorry cleaning needs tom be improved.

  • As we are in a dry spell the road is white with quarry dust. It will be very slippery when we get rain.

  • Seems the quarry just don't care about the road. It is white with the mud/dust the trucks carry out. It has got worse over the last 6 months
