The road has water leaking on it and clearly underneath it as well
Reported via mobile in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 14:32, Wednesday 27 May 2026
Sent to Norfolk County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9514838.
There is a patch of road which anglian water claims is not a burst in their mains, but is a natural spring. This is now causing the road to severely sag, which implies the natural stream is rapidly eroding the earth beneath the road and potentially leading to a sinkhole. This issue happens each year and noone has rectified it, but this year it is extremely bad and needs to be seen to urgently otherwise it could endanger lives if there is a sinkhole forming.

PLEASE HELP (if you haven't already)! If this was Lincolnshire, then Lincolnshire County Council would have been providing prompt, comprehensive, and publicly-available updates to this report, right here on the FixMyStreet website, for everybody to see. Unfortunately, Norfolk County Council don't do that (and they even try to discourage people from actually using FixMyStreet)! Please SIGN THE PETITITION, to urge Norfolk County Council to start collaborating with FixMyStreet, in the same way as Lincolnshire County Council is doing (as well as other places, e.g. Oxfordshire)! PETITION WEB ADDRESS: https://c.org/ Nd7gcrX4Bk (A big thankyou to everybody who has signed the petition so far. We've already got over 380 signatures, but let's keep going, to really make an impact on make Norfolk County Council!)
