  Please note that as outlined in our Tree Management Strategy (tree-management-strategy-2023-to-2027 (bromley.gov.uk) the Council will not prune trees in relation to the following:

  • Branches overhanging properties. Residents have the right to exercise their right under common law to prune back branches to their property boundary, withal arising disposed of by the resident. Pruning should be carried out following discussion with one of the Council’s Tree Officers and completed to the standard set out in BS3998:2010 Tree Work; However in viewing the trees from the Woodland side, it is noted a number of branches are in direct conflict (touching) boundary fence which works have been issued to the contractor, estimated to be completed in 28 days to cut back branches in direct conflict with the boundary fence.
