Dott scooter and bike store on public footpath Conservation Area

I would like to complain about the apparent designation of a Dott e-bike and scooter parking area on a public footpath at bottom end of Mount Beacon.
As the attached photograph shows, this quiet pedestrian footpath has effectively become a large parking/storage zone for commercial hire vehicles.
This is within the Bath Conservation Area, and the scale and visual impact are entirely inappropriate to the character of the space. The accumulation of bikes and scooters creates significant visual clutter and changes the nature of what should be a calm pedestrian route.
The orderly arrangement and repeated presence of large numbers of vehicles strongly suggest that this location has been formally designated or informally permitted as a parking spot. If so, I would like to know: • whether local residents were consulted; • what heritage or conservation assessment was undertaken; • and why a pedestrian footpath in a conservation area was considered an appropriate location for this use.
This does not appear to be isolated misuse by riders, but a management and siting problem created by the scheme itself.
I would ask that the location be urgently reviewed and relocated.

I walk up here regularly and wholeheartedly agree with the reporter’s views on this proliferation of bikes and scooters, and also think they shouldn’t be allowed there because by placing them there it makes it look like they can be ridden downhill from there. Twice now I have had people on scooters wobbling dangerously down this very steep (and slippery when wet) footpath towards me and had to get out of their way quickly. It is not a suitable place for the bikes and scooters at all.

Pleased these are stored here, on a really wide pavement. Just need to stop the person who keeps pushing them over and deliberately blocking the path.
