Tree is damaged problem

Hi - I have a lot of sycamore trees along my border with the (unnamed) road. I recently noticed that some of them have died because of sooty bark disease and will have to be removed.
It is going to be an expensive job to remove them safely and I was wondering if any help might be available from Highways (I have been in touch with the council at Stroud and am waiting for a call back from Forest Research).
Any help or advice would be much appreciated

If repair work is required, it will either be classed as urgent or will be put into a planned programme of works to ensure it is repaired as efficiently as possible.
In some cases a temporary repair will be needed, to make the area safe, then engineers will return to make a permanent repair.
