Temporary barriers in place for years

Reported via desktop by Jacqueline Allinson at 10:29, Tuesday 19 May 2026

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and West Oxfordshire District Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9474706.

Part of the post and rail barrier erected when the site was developed to protect residents walking along the county council maintained footpath and the road drainage outfall has collapsed. OCC placed temporary barriers but will not carry out repair works. The parish council land registry title clearly shows that this particular area of the path where the road drainage outfall is, is not the responsibility of the parish council. If OCC consider that the missing/broken barrier does not present a hazard of any kind to residents using the public footpath then please remove the red temporary barriers now. This is not a decision that can be made by the Parish Council.
