The BCC street lighting Dept emailed to say it will be repaired no sooner than 1st Feb 2017 due to technical issues. Hopefully this will be completed next week, as it will be one of the longest waits the residents can remember for a lighting and pedestrian safety issue.

It looks like SSE ( Electrical Engineers) have arrived today, Tuesday 21/02/2017, they have cordoned off the 😳Street light and hopefully they will fix it this week.

Street light still not fixed as of 6/3/17 What is the problem? Residents feel let down by this lack of urgency regarding the repair.

Have been told by the Council that a Western Power Cable needs fixing and that the light can then be reconnected......when?

Good news.......it has been fixed....... Much brighter........ Reported 29th Nov 2016 and finally Fixed 10th April 2017 A very long wait ........lots of complications ........but all good now......well done all.
