Road markings are virtually invisible

Road markings are badly worn away especially the centre line of the road also could do with lines painted at exit from rear of shops and the access road to the rear of the property’s of Cray Avenue so as to discourage drivers from parking and blocking access and also causing problems for the lorries to access the road to rear of shops

    In line with national guidance suggesting that central road markings can sometimes lead to higher vehicle speeds, our current approach is to allow central lines on unclassified residential roads to fade and disappear, or not to replace them after resurfacing—except where they are needed to support junction markings.

    Your enquiry has been forwarded to our traffic team to consider the remaining suggestions regarding additional lining in the area.
