Flags on lampposts

Reported via desktop in the Unauthorised objects on street lighting assets category anonymously at 12:50, Monday 18 May 2026 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9470026.

I reported this a few weeks ago, you marked it as "marked for action" then as "fixed". But the flag still waves proudly in the breeze, together with its friends down the road - see photo taken today. If your contractor tells you they've taken it down I'm afraid you've been ripped off. If, on the other hand, you don't intend to do anything about it please say so and I'll stop hassling you.

Council ref: 9470026

Asset ID: 009

Unit type: Light

  • Thanks for the report. I have asked our contractor to attend. FYI these are raised on a 28 working day priority. We have had issues where flags are being removed on day one, but by day two they have gone back up. It has been quite a relentless battle.
