Station Road / Chestnut Street
Reported via mobile in the Road Markings category anonymously at 09:06, Monday 18 May 2026
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2891854.
It would be really sensible to install a sign post near the mini roundabout at the petrol station to advise that Chestnut Street is not suitable for HGV. We get several every day going to the Ruskington garden centre and they struggle to get down Chestnut Street from Station Road every time. It would be better if they were advised to use the main High Street.

Please raise the matter with Ruskington Parish Council first before Lincolnshire County Council would consider the use of this type of signage as it may conflict with signage to the Station and is not enforceable. It would be helpful if the Parish Council could gather evidence regarding both the frequency and number of large vehicles using this route, particularly those associated with the garden centre. If this is confirmed, the Parish Council to contact the garden centre to hopefully resolve this matter by requesting that all delivery vehicles use the more appropriate route. You can contact them directly at: https://ruskington.parish.lincolnshire.gov.uk/ . Thank you for reporting this matter.
