Approx 8 inch sinking join between road and private driveway on road side

There is a significant localised depression in the adopted highway/footway at the access to my property. It is causing repeated vehicle contact/damage risk, it appears materially worse than adjacent repaired sections, and the council has notice of it but is declining to inspect or remedy it on an individual basis.
