Confusing placement of give way sign. It is placed in vision of A44 drivers making them think they need to give way and slow down dangerously when really it is for drivers on B4030. Needs to be repositioned or added onto other side of B4030

  • Thank you for your report. The sign is positioned correctly; however, due to the road layout, we acknowledge that it may be visible to drivers travelling along the A44 towards Chipping Norton.
    We do not consider that this should cause confusion, as the sign is located on the opposite side of the road and therefore does not apply to traffic on the A44. Drivers should recognise this based on its positioning.
    We have checked our records and there do not appear to be any recorded accidents or near misses at this location that would currently warrant further action. However, we will continue to monitor the situation and take appropriate action if necessary.
