Hi, RE: Address: 16 Nursery View, Faringdon, Oxon, SN7 8SJ. I am writing to ask for your advice and approval regarding the small grass verge opposite my driveway, as shown in the attached photograph. I would like to explore whether this modest section could be professionally tarmacked or otherwise resurfaced in keeping with the existing road and driveway layout. At present, the grassed area appears to be a small isolated verge within an otherwise hard-surfaced part of the road. It sits between existing tarmac and paving and, over time, has become increasingly worn and patchy. Owing to its position, vehicles naturally pass close to it when entering, leaving or turning near nearby driveways. As a result, the verge is difficult to maintain as grass and is likely to continue deteriorating. I believe resurfacing this small section would be a sensible and proportionate improvement. It would help create a cleaner and more consistent edge to the highway, reduce mud and loose soil being carried onto the road and surrounding paved areas, and prevent further damage to the verge. It would also improve the appearance of the street by replacing a worn grass patch with a neat surface that matches the surrounding tarmac. I fully appreciate that this area may form part of the adopted highway or require formal consent, and I am not seeking to carry out any unauthorised works. I would therefore be grateful if the Highways team could review the attached photograph and advise whether the Council would be willing to approve this improvement, subject to any necessary conditions, specifications or approved contractor requirements. I would also be willing to consider funding the works privately,
